SAT Mathematics Syllabus

  • The program is primarily structured around 4 key topics.  

    1. Algebra

    2. Advanced Math

    3. Problem solving and Data analysis

    4. Geometry and Trigonometry

     

    List of sub-topics under each main topic are as follows

    1. Algebra ( 13 to 15 questions )

    • Linear equations in one variable
    • Linear functions
    • Linear equations in two variable
    • Systems of two linear equations in two variables
    • Linear inequalities in one or two variables

    2. Advanced Math ( 13 to 15 questions )

    • Nonlinear functions
    • Nonlinear equations in one variable and systems of equations in two variables
    • Equivalent expressions

    3. Problem Solving and Data Analysis ( 5 to 7 questions )

    • Ratios, rates, proportional relationships, and units
    • Percentages
    • One-variable data: Distributions and measures of center and spread
    • Two-variable data: Models and scatterplots
    • Probability and conditional probability
    • Inference from sample statistics and margin of error
    • Evaluating statistical claims: Observational studies and experiments

    4. Geometry and Trigonometry ( 5 to 7 questions )

    • Area and volume
    • Lines, angles, and triangles
    • Right triangles and trigonometry
    • Circles
